About The Event
To celebrate National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on 23 April, YUNT presents “Complete the Story: Once Upon a Time”, a workshop bringing children and their parents together to create collective narratives about Istanbul.
Under the guidance of storyteller Gülçin Uslu, the programme begins with a bird's-eye exploration of Istanbul’s diverse eras and locations. Following this journey, participants will collaborate to weave a new story inspired by the PresentAbsent exhibition currently on display at YUNT.
While experiencing the fluid nature of storytelling, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the thin line between imagination and reality, crafting their own unique tales within these boundaries. Shaped by diverse perspectives, this process aims to expand children's means of expression and foster a creative, intergenerational platform for sharing.
The workshop is free.
