About The Event
As part of the "Rethinking the Production of Space" lecture series, Derviş Zaim will give a talk titled "Cinema and Space" at YUNT.
Seating will be limited.

Derviş Zaim:
Derviş Zaim was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1964. He graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Business Administration and then received an MA in Cultural Studies from Warwick University. He also completed the Cinema Arts Proficiency program at Maltepe University Faculty of Fine Arts. To date, he has directed ten films and two documentaries. He has written the screenplays for his films and produced most of them. He won the 1994 Yunus Nadi Award with his novel Ares in Wonderland. His second novel, Rüyet, was published in April 2019. He has participated in and won awards at numerous national and international art festivals. He currently teaches at Maltepe, Ankara Science, and Near East Universities. He is married and has one child.
